The short answer
Yes, entry-level remote jobs exist, but they are a very small part of the remote job market. On 4 November 2026 we found 84 entry-level roles and 69 internships among 7,616 remote roles at 163 companies. That is about 2% of all remote roles, or one in fifty. They came from 50 companies, led by Thermo Fisher Scientific, CrowdStrike, Affirm, Amazon and Centene for entry-level jobs and Coinbase for internships. Most were open to people in the US only. Half showed a pay range.
So a remote first job is possible, but you need to search smarter than "remote, no experience". Use the Seniority filter on our remote jobs page to see the live list. It is updated every day from each employer's own careers site.
How we counted
- Source: the public careers sites (job feeds) of the companies we track, read on 4 Nov 2026. We keep only roles the employer marks as remote, and we drop roles whose text says they are on-site.
- Seniority comes from the job title. We tag a role as entry level when the title says, for example, "junior", "graduate", "new grad", "trainee", "associate" or a level "I" (as in "Analyst I"), and as an internship when it says "intern". A title without a level word counts as mid level.
- Title tags are not perfect. Five legal roles such as "Associate General Counsel" were tagged entry level by the word "associate" but need years of experience, so we leave them out of the pay figures below. Some real entry-level jobs have no level in the title, so the true number may be a little higher.
- Roles are filled and posted every day, so treat these numbers as a snapshot.
How rare entry-level remote jobs are
The chart above shows the split. 2,777 roles had no level word (mid level), 1,408 were senior, 1,910 lead or manager, 738 staff or principal and 630 director and above. Entry level (84) and internships (69) together came to 153.
Why so few? Remote work suits people who can work alone with little supervision, and employers tend to hire for that with experience. New hires also learn faster sitting next to colleagues, so many companies keep junior roles hybrid or on-site. The wider job market for new graduates is not easy either. The Federal Reserve Bank of New York reports that in the third quarter of 2026 the unemployment rate for recent US college graduates (aged 22 to 27) was 5.2%, and 42.5% were underemployed, meaning they worked in jobs that do not usually need a degree.

Two things stand out. First, healthcare, insurance and life sciences are a large share of the list. Clinical trial support at Thermo Fisher, claims at Travelers, and member and pharmacy services at Centene and CVS Health are real remote starting points that many job seekers overlook. Second, big tech is a small part of it: the big tech companies we track had 8 entry-level and 6 intern remote roles between them. Our guide to big tech companies that hire remote workers has the wider picture.
Remote internships
We counted 69 remote internships. Coinbase had the most by far (27), followed by Centene (8), McKesson (5) and NVIDIA (4). Data and AI (13) and engineering (13) were the largest groups, then finance and accounting (7). Many are already listed for summer 2027, so the hiring season for next year's internships is open now. Centene's postings show pay of about $18 to $30 an hour for its summer internships.
Which entry-level jobs are remote
Among the 84 entry-level roles, engineering had 13, sales and partnerships 11, operations 10, healthcare and clinical 9 and customer success and support 9. Another 16 did not fit a standard function, many of them claims and service roles. Product (4), data (3), marketing (2) and finance (2) had very few. In the titles, "associate" appeared 46 times and a level "I" 37 times, while "junior" appeared only 4 times. So search for "associate" and "I", not just "junior" or "entry level".

Where you can live
54 of the 84 entry-level roles were open in the US, and 47 (56%) were open to US-based candidates only. Asia-Pacific and the Middle East had 11, Europe 10, Canada 8, and Latin America and the UK 4 each. None was open worldwide. Across all remote roles, 4,944 of 7,616 (65%) were US-only, so entry-level roles were a little more international than the market as a whole, but the numbers outside the US are small. If you live outside the US, check our Europe, UK and Canada pages, and read our guide to companies hiring remote workers in Europe.
What entry-level remote jobs pay
42 of the 84 entry-level roles (50%) showed a pay range in the data we read. Leaving out the five senior legal roles, 28 had a yearly range in US dollars. Their median midpoint was about $101,500, and the ranges ran from $49,000 at the low end to $180,000 at the top. For comparison, the median midpoint for 1,140 mid-level roles with a yearly US-dollar range was $146,950.
Some examples from the postings: CrowdStrike's Analyst I, Falcon Complete at $85,000 to $120,000 in the US; Travelers' associate claim representative at $53,800 to $88,800; and hourly roles such as CVS Health's Pharmacy Technician I at $17 to $25.65, DaVita's Revenue Specialist I at $19.29 to $23 and Centene's Grievance & Appeals Specialist I at $23.23 to $39.61 an hour. Several US states, including New York under Labor Law Section 194-B, require employers to list a pay range in job postings, which is why US roles show pay more often. Our remote salary pages show the ranges employers posted by job type, with sample sizes.
Watch out for fake "entry-level" remote offers
Remote jobs for beginners are a favourite target for scammers. The US Federal Trade Commission warns about unexpected texts and chat messages offering vague "remote positions", offers made without a real interview, requests to pay for training or equipment, and "employers" who send a check and ask you to send part of it back. Honest employers never ask you to pay to get a job. Every role on our site links to the employer's own careers site, and that is where you should apply.
How to land an entry-level remote job
- Search by the words employers use. Look for "associate", level "I", "coordinator", "specialist" and "intern" in titles, and set the Seniority filter on our jobs page.
- Look beyond tech. Clinical trials, insurance claims, pharmacy services and customer support hire beginners remotely more often than software teams do.
- Show you can work on your own. Put projects, coursework, volunteering or part-time work on your CV that shows you met deadlines without close supervision, and mention the tools you used.
- Prepare for online tests. Large employers often send timed aptitude tests early, and graduates are tested more than anyone. Try our free 10-question cognitive test, then the numerical, verbal and psychometric practice tests, which feed a simple Job Readiness Score. Our numerical reasoning tips explain the common question types.
- Apply early and often. With so few roles, the good ones fill fast. Check the list every few days, and apply to internships for summer 2027 now.

FAQ
Are there entry-level remote jobs?
Yes, but few. On 4 November 2026 we counted 84 entry-level and 69 intern roles among 7,616 remote roles at the 163 companies we track, about 2% of the total. They were spread over 50 companies. See the live remote jobs list and set the Seniority filter to entry level or intern.
Which companies hire entry-level remote workers?
In our count, Thermo Fisher Scientific had the most entry-level remote roles (12, mostly clinical research), followed by CrowdStrike and Affirm (7 each), Amazon (6), Centene (5), and Travelers and Coinbase (4 each). Coinbase also had 27 remote internships, the most of any company.
How much do entry-level remote jobs pay?
Half of the 84 entry-level roles showed a pay range. For 28 yearly US-dollar ranges (leaving out five senior legal roles with "Associate" in the title), the median midpoint was about $101,500, with ranges from $49,000 to $180,000. Hourly roles such as pharmacy technician and revenue specialist were posted at about $17 to $40 an hour.
Can I get a remote job with no experience?
It is possible but hard, and most of these roles still ask for a degree, a certificate or some related experience. Internships, customer support, claims, clinical trial and junior analyst roles are the most common starting points in our data. A hybrid or on-site first job, followed by a move to remote, is often the more realistic path.
How do I spot fake entry-level remote job offers?
Be careful with unexpected texts or chat messages offering remote work, offers made without a real interview, and anyone who asks you to pay for training or equipment or to deposit a check and send money back. The US Federal Trade Commission says honest employers never ask you to pay to get a job. Apply on the company's own careers site.
