About the role
What You Can Expect
Join Zoom's Security Operations Centre team in India, where your work directly shapes how we detect, respond to, and recover from threats across a complex, global technology environment. You'll operate at the intersection of SIEM engineering, incident response, and threat hunting, bringing analytical rigor to ambiguous situations and building the detection capabilities that keep Zoom secure. At this level, you're expected to lead investigations from triage through resolution, collaborate across cloud, identity, and product security disciplines, and continuously improve the processes and tooling that power our SOC. If you're energized by fast-moving threat landscapes and thrive in a team that values both depth of expertise and open collaboration, this role offers real scope to grow and make an impact.
About the Team
Our SOC India team sits at the heart of Zoom's global security operations, working alongside detection engineering, IT, cloud security, and product security teams to protect a platform trusted by hundreds of millions of people worldwide. The team covers the full spectrum of security events, from phishing and identity threats to cloud misconfigurations and product security incidents, operating with a follow-the-sun model. We value clear thinking, rigorous documentation, and a shared commitment to continuously strengthening Zoom's security posture.
Responsibilities
Monitor, triage, and investigate security alerts across SIEM, EDR, email security, identity, and cloud platforms using CrowdStrike NGSIEM, Splunk, and related tooling.
Lead incident response from initial triage through containment, eradication, recovery, and post-incident review.
Partner with the Incident Response team to address security incidents and provide timely support.
Work proactively with Cyber Threat Intelligence to gather actionable intelligence and respond effectively to incidents.
Collaborate closely with the Detection Engineering team to develop new detection and reduce false positives.
Create, tune, and manage detection rules and alerts in CrowdStrike NGSIEM and Splunk, reducing false positives and maintaining clear documentation of logic and coverage.
Apply AI tools to accelerate incident analysis, summarize investigations, and support detection development, validating all outputs before acting on them.
Investigate phishing and email threats using Proofpoint, and analyze suspicious files and URLs through sandbox platforms such as Joe Sandbox.
Investigate identity-based threats and suspicious authentication activity in Okta, and analyze cloud security events across AWS, Azure, GCP, and OCI to identify misconfigurations and attacker behavior.
Handle PSIRT cases related to product security, coordinating with engineering and cross-functional teams to assess impact and track remediation.
Read and interpret PowerShell and Python scripts, and apply scripting and automation to streamline investigation, enrichment, and reporting workflows.
Document incidents, detections, and playbooks to a standard that supports handover, audits, and continuous improvement, and contribute to shift handovers, metrics reporting, and SOC process improvements.
What We're Looking For
3 to 6 years of hands-on experience in SOC operations, incident response, or threat hunting.
Practical experience with CrowdStrike NGSIEM (Falcon Next-Gen SIEM) and CrowdStrike EDR, including detection rule development, alert tuning, and host-level investigation.
Proficiency with Splunk SIEM, including writing searches, building alerts, and supporting detection engineering workflows.
