About the role
CloudLinux is a global remote-first company. We are driven by our principles: do the right thing, employees first, we are remote first, and we deliver high volume, low-cost Linux infrastructure and security products that help companies to increase the efficiency of their operations. Every person on our team supports each other and does what we can to ensure we all are successful. We are truly a great place to work. Check out our website for more information cloudlinux.com.
We are seeking an autonomous, high-performing Enterprise Account Executive (Self-Starter) to accelerate our growth across East Asia, with a primary focus on scaling our footprint in Japan, alongside strategic expansion in South Korea, Hong Kong, and Taiwan.
Our technology is established, and we already maintain an active enterprise customer base in the region. We are looking for an entrepreneurial sales professional who can leverage our existing reference accounts, identify untapped market opportunities, and independently navigate complex regional enterprise sales cycles from prospect to close.
Key Responsibilities
Market Expansion & Territory Growth: Drive end-to-end sales execution across Japan (primary focus), South Korea, Hong Kong, and Taiwan, capitalizing on existing brand awareness to capture new enterprise accounts and upsell strategic renewals.
Autonomous Pipeline Generation: Function as a self-sufficient sales engine—proactively prospecting, building, and managing a robust pipeline through direct outreach, executive networking, and channel partners without relying solely on inbound leads.
Enterprise Deal Execution: Lead complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles involving CISOs, CIOs, VPs of Infrastructure, and Security teams.
Channel & Ecosystem Management: Leverage regional relationships to extend sales reach and accelerate deal velocity.
Customer Upsell & Strategic Expansion: Work closely with existing regional customers to identify expansion opportunities (new business units, modules, or server/user licensing scale).
Cross-Cultural Negotiation: Structure commercial agreements, subscription models, and licensing terms tailored to local business customs, compliance regulations, and procurement standards in Japan and East Asia.
1. Sales Track Record & Self-Sufficiency
8+ years of B2B software/SaaS sales experience, ideally in web hosting, cloud infrastructure, or cybersecurity.
Demonstrated self-starter capability: proven ability to build a pipeline from scratch in a field/remote structure with minimal day-to-day oversight.
Established relationships with, or previous experience working with or for, the top hosting providers in the region.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding quota.
2. Regional Expertise & Market Knowledge
Based in Japan, with deep familiarity with the Japanese IT/hosting landscape, including how Japanese companies evaluate, pilot, and purchase software.
Experience selling into South Korea, Hong Kong, or Taiwan (Web Hosting / MSP / Gaming Hosting / Data Centers / Agencies ecosystems) is a plus.
3. Language & Communication Skills
Fluency in Japanese (Business/Native level, required for navigating Japanese corporate culture and executive decision-makers).
Fluency in English (Professional level, required for internal reporting and collaboration with the global team).
Bonus: Proficiency in Korean is a plus.
4. Nice to Have
Comfort discussing Linux systems, hosting infrastructure, cloud, or server security.
A technical background (engineering, system administration, support, or sales engineering).
