About the role

At Affirm, we exist for the moments that matter—giving people a clear, predictable way to pay over time, with no hidden fees, no surprises, and no tradeoffs on what matters most.

About the People Team

The People team helps Affirmers cultivate a high-performing, inclusive organization. We focus on three core areas: attracting talent aligned to our mission, enabling growth through people and team development, and retaining employees through thoughtful experiences and rewards. We develop Affirm’s people programs and systems to create a workplace where all employees can thrive and contribute meaningfully. By investing in our people, we create a long-term advantage for the business.

About the Role

The Compensation Programs & Partnerships (P&P) team designs, executes, and maintains some of the people programs and partnerships that enables Affirm to provide thoughtful experiences and rewards to Affirmers. We are seeking a detail oriented, collaborative Compensation Analyst who is passionate about delivering compensation programs and partnerships that helps drive Affirm’s success. In this role, you will report to the Senior Manager of Compensation and work closely with the Senior Manager and broader Compensation team to strategize, build, refine, maintain, and implement various programs and initiatives. You will also work closely with the team to help provide partnership and support for the Technology and Business functions as well as other cross functional partner groups.

What You’ll Do

Lead the end to end project management of the mid-year and annual compensation cycles in close alignment with the Compensation team and other key People team partners including: proactive and ongoing project planning, creating timelines, building training / enablement resources, facilitating project meetings, creating communications, and providing ad-hoc support during the cycles.

Leverage existing tools and sources (such as Sigma Dashboards, the Radford Global Compensation Database, and Pave) to provide team ad-hoc compensation analyses and story-building support, translating data elements into sound recommendations and insightful presentations. This could include conducting robust research to prepare analyses on actual vs. market pay positioning, leveling distributions vs. market practices, offer and candidate trends, retention risk, spans / layers, or other workforce related priorities.

Partner with the Compensation Programs & Partnerships team to provide ongoing partnership support for various business related initiatives across Affirm’s Technology and Business functions.

Partner with the Senior Incentive Compensation Manager to provide operational support for the incentive compensation design process (which can include coordinating kickoff meetings, facilitating focus group feedback sessions with leaders, creating and / or updating incentive plan documents).

Engage in ongoing processes and special projects to refine and uphold Compensation’s programmatic frameworks.

Serve as subject matter expert, alongside other compensation team partners, to provide education and consultation to stakeholders on our compensation structure, guidance, and various compensation programs.

Maintain our standard job architecture catalog in Workday and internal team documents.

May participate in sessions with external survey companies (such as AON) to stay up to date on market trends and share insights that can help the team maintain competitive rewards structures and programs.
