About the role
Job Description
The Analytical Services Division is seeking an exceptional global commercial leader to accelerate the next phase of growth for our Bioanalytical and Biomarker Laboratories business. Operating at the intersection of science, drug development and some of the world's most innovative biotech and pharmaceutical companies, this leader will shape and execute the global commercial strategy for a growing laboratory services business with approximately $400M in annual authorizations/bookings.
Reporting to the Vice President, Global Head of ASD Commercial, you will serve on the Bioanalytical business leadership team and the ASD Commercial leadership team. You will lead a global commercial organization and partner closely with laboratory operations to deliver profitable growth, strengthen customer relationships and build the commercial capabilities required for continued expansion in the United States, Europe and APAC.
This mandate extends beyond delivering the number. You will evolve the organization from reactive opportunity fulfillment toward proactive, insight-led demand generation - building a high-performing culture that combines customer intimacy, commercial discipline, scientific credibility and enterprise collaboration.
How will you make an impact
You will enable our customers to make the world healthier, cleaner and safer by connecting their drug-development needs with world-class bioanalytical and biomarker laboratory capabilities. Your leadership will help clients advance life-changing therapies more quickly while creating sustainable, profitable growth for ASD and Thermo Fisher Scientific.
What will you do
Set and execute global commercial strategy. Translate divisional and business-unit strategy into clear market, customer, portfolio and geographic priorities. Deliver authorization, revenue, market-share and profitability objectives through disciplined execution.
Transform the commercial model. Move the organization from reactive opportunity fulfillment toward proactive demand creation, strategic account development and insight-led customer engagement. Establish the behaviors, capabilities and operating mechanisms required to sustain the change.
Build a world-class commercial organization. Lead, develop and inspire a global team of commercial leaders and business-development professionals. Raise the talent bar, strengthen succession, build critical capabilities and create a culture of accountability, inclusion, collaboration and continuous improvement.
Build strategic customer partnerships. Serve as executive sponsor for priority biotech and pharmaceutical customers. Deepen senior-level relationships, understand evolving development priorities and translate customer insight into differentiated solutions, flexible commercial models and durable partnerships.
Drive commercial excellence. Establish rigorous pipeline, forecasting, account-planning, segmentation, pricing/value and performance-management disciplines. Use data and market intelligence to improve decision quality, resource deployment and predictability of results.
Shape market and portfolio choices. Partner with Operations and other leaders to translate customer, competitor and market insights into portfolio positioning, investment priorities, capacity decisions and new growth opportunities.
Lead through the enterprise. Build an exceptional Commercial-Operations partnership and mobilize Finance, Marketing, Corporate Accounts, CRG Commercial and broader Thermo Fisher capabilities to deliver integrated customer solutions and enterprise value.
