About the Role

The Women’s Private Brands team creates differentiated, brand-right products that deliver against the needs of our clients and the business. The Private Brands Design and Brand Lead brings this product vision to life from initial concept through physical execution, combining strong product instinct, trend and market expertise, and commercial acumen to create a compelling and successful product.

This highly hands-on role owns product decisions across the creation process, translating brand strategy, client insights, trends, and performance data into specific product opportunities. The Lead partners closely with Brand Management, Buying, Technical Design, Sourcing, Planning, and vendors to develop products that balances newness, commercial opportunity, quality, value, and client relevance. Using next-generation AI product creation tools alongside core product development systems, this role helps accelerate concept development, improve decision-making, and evolve how products are created across Women’s Private Brands.

Responsibilities

Own product creation from concept through final execution, translating seasonal strategy, client needs, trend insights, competitive intelligence, and business performance into differentiated products across silhouette, fabric, print, color, proportion, construction, and product details.

Create and iterate product concepts using AI-enabled design tools, applying next-generation Ai Tools to product creation platforms to accelerate ideation, visualization, refinement, and communication while continuously learning and applying new technologies to improve the product creation process.

Drive product development and make critical execution decisions, partnering with Technical Design, Sourcing, and vendors to translate 2D concepts into high-quality physical products and making informed trade-offs across fabric, trims, construction, fit, quality, cost, functionality, and scalability.

Use commercial performance to inform future product decisions, regularly analyzing sales, client feedback, historical hindsight, and market trends to determine where to repeat, evolve, expand, improve, or exit product and to identify new opportunities for the assortment.

Lead cross-functional product partnership and decision-making, working closely with Brand Management, Buying, Technical Design, Sourcing, Planning, and vendor partners to pitch product opportunities, incorporate feedback, solve problems, and move product forward with a high degree of ownership and autonomy.

Requirements

Travel to headquarters 7-9 times annually.

Deep women’s apparel product acumen with an exceptional eye for silhouette, proportion, fabric, construction, color, print, trend, quality, and product details.

5-7 years of experience spanning design, product development, merchandising, or a combination of these disciplines, with the ability to think both creatively and commercially.
