The Notifications & Growth Platform org builds the systems that power user communication and product-led growth across Pinterest. Our platforms enable product teams to reach users with the right message at the right time across channels (push, email, in-app, etc.) safely and at scale.
What you’ll do
Shape the technical vision and multi-year roadmap for the Notifications & Growth Platform org, aligning architecture and execution plans to Pinterest’s engagement and retention goals.

Make durable architectural decisions that improve delivery quality, reliability, and scalability of Pinterest’s notifications and growth systems (e.g., orchestration, targeting hooks, scheduling, and multi-channel delivery).
Define success metrics and operating cadence (e.g., engagement lift, delivery success, latency, reliability, cost, adoption) and drive measurable improvements aligned to org OKRs.
Use AI to accelerate your work across exploration, drafting, analysis, and synthesis—while maintaining strong judgment, rigorous validation, and accountability for outcomes.
What we’re looking for
10+ years of software engineering experience, including meaningful time as a Staff, Senior Staff, or equivalent-level IC building and operating complex production systems.

Proven technical leadership: driving architecture across multiple services/teams and delivering org-critical initiatives.
Excellent communication skills and ability to influence across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Notifications and growth platform experience is a strong plus.
Able to dive into data and identify opportunities to drive user growth is a strong plus.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent experience.
