Labcorp is seeking a Cytogenetics Technologist to join our team Remotely.

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM MT

Job Responsibilities

Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria

Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures

Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality

Demonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving.

Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls

Report accurate and timely test results in order to deliver quality patient care

Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology

1 year or more experience in Cytogenetics analysis

Preferred Qualifications

Certified by the National Credentialing Agency (NCA) in Cytogenetics (CLSp-CG)

5 years or more experience in Cytogenetics analysis

Additional Job Standards

Previous experience with cytogenetic analysis of metaphase spreads via computerized images

Computer skills; be able to effectively use the Internet, email, text messaging, chat applications, and familiarity with Microsoft Office.

Effective communication skills (oral, written, presentation), is an active listener, and effectively provides balanced feedback

Strong patient focus

Effectively manages own time, conflicting priorities, self, stress, and professional development

Self-motivated and self-starter with ability to work independently with limited supervision

Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

Private, HIPAA‑compliant workspace

Agree to include home address in case reporting (CMS requirement)

Internet 100 Mbps minimum

Ability to work remotely in a fast‑paced, multi‑site environment

• *Pay Range: $27.00 - $37.00 per hour
• All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.
