More than a traditional project manager, the Project Manager, Sponsorship & Experiential will own the execution of a high-priority initiative while also coordinating a variety of projects across the broader team as it matures into an enterprise-wide Center of Excellence. Work assignments will involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. The ideal candidate is a natural orchestrator who loves bringing order to complexity. They can zoom out to understand strategic priorities, then zoom in to manage details that drive execution. They are comfortable leading without formal authority, building alignment across diverse stakeholder groups, and keeping multiple moving pieces on track simultaneously. They thrive at creating clarity, accountability, and momentum that help teams perform at their best.

Job Description

Humana is a $100+ billion, Fortune 50, healthcare leader dedicated to improving the health and well-being of the people we serve. To help deliver on this mission, we are seeking a highly organized, strategic, and proactive Project Manager to lead the execution of an enterprise-wide priority initiative while serving as the operational hub for a growing Sponsorship & Experiential Center of Excellence (COE). This role acts as both the "quarterback" for key projects and the "air traffic controller" for the broader team, ensuring priorities, resources, timelines, and stakeholder communications remain aligned.

The ideal candidate thrives in complex, cross-functional environments, brings rigor to project planning and governance, and can seamlessly move between strategic planning and day-to-day execution. Success in this role requires exceptional communication skills, the ability to influence without authority, and a talent for bringing structure and clarity to ambiguity.

This role will liaise with internal departments and external partners to ensure full communication and success of project plans; constantly monitor performance of team initiatives to ensure they meet organization objectives; ensure effective administration of projects and proactively identify opportunities for improvement. This role will make decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. This role will exercise considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments. This is an opportunity to be the originator of a newly developed role, molding and shaping it into its highest potential. Success requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a growth mindset focused on continuous improvement.
