What Supplier Enrollment and Credentialing contributes to Cardinal Health
Cardinal Health at-Home Solutions is seeking an experienced professional to lead Medicare enrollment and credentialing for Edgepark, Advanced Diabetes Supply (ADS), US Med, United States Medical Supply (USMS), and Strive Medical. As Sr. Advisor, Supplier Enrollment & Credentialing, you will serve as the subject matter expert and accountable owner for Medicare DMEPOS credentialing and enrollment across all five DMEPOS companies, ensuring each business remains compliant, in good standing, and able to serve patients without interruption.
Job Summary
This individual contributor role requires a seasoned professional who can navigate complex regulatory environments, anticipate evolving CMS requirements, and operate with both independence and strategic perspective. The ideal candidate brings deep, hands on experience successfully completing Medicare DMEPOS supplier enrollments, knowledge of National Provider Enrollment contractors and DMEPOS supplier standards, an unwavering commitment to compliance, and the executive presence to advise senior leadership and represent the organization with CMS contractors and accrediting bodies.
Responsibilities
Own and independently execute end-to-end Medicare enrollment for all five DMEPOS entities, including initial enrollments, revalidations, changes of information, location openings and closures, and changes of ownership through CMS-855S, PECOS, and NPPES.
Serve as the primary point of contact for Palmetto GBA, Novitas, and the DME MACs on enrollment matters, site visits, and deficiency responses.
Ensure that every entity and location remains compliant with DMEPOS supplier standards, accreditation requirements, certificates of insurance liabilities, surety bond obligations, and state licensure requirements.
Proactively manage revalidation cycles, deadlines, PTANs, and NPI records to prevent disruptions to billing privileges.
Lead responses to revocations, deactivations, requests for information, and corrective action plans, including appropriate application appeals and reconsiderations when needed.
Develop enrollment strategies, timelines, and risk assessments for acquisitions, new site launches, and other business changes.
Monitor CMS regulatory updates and industry developments, assess their impact, and recommend appropriate business responses.
Develop and maintain credentialing policies, procedures, tracking tools, and documentation to keep the organization audit ready.
Identify enrollment risks early and provide leadership with clear, practical recommendations.
Present status updates, risks, and strategic recommendations to senior leaders with clarity and confidence.
Partner closely with Compliance, Legal, Regulatory, Revenue Cycle, and Operations to align requirements and priorities.
Drive continuous improvement and standardization of enrollment processes across all entities.
Qualifications
8+ years of experience in Medicare provider or supplier enrollment, including direct, hands-on experience successfully completing DMEPOS enrollment for a multi-entity or multi-location organization preferred.
Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience preferred; CPCS, CPMSM, or similar certification is a plus.
Substantial experience with governmental credentialing and enrollment processes for, suppliers or institutions is essential, including direct interaction with federal or state agencies and their contractors.
Deep, hands-on expertise in Medicare DMEPOS enrollment, including CMS-855S, PECOS, NPPES, supplier standards, accreditation, surety bonds, revalidations, and changes of ownership.
